Dylan Fotoohi

Dylan came to the UK in 2013 as an asylum seeker, and settled in Glasgow as a refugee. Dylan has been working in the refugee and migration civil society sector since his arrival in the UK. His previous roles include Programme Manager at Migration Exchange, Humanitarian Protection Service Manager and Development Officer at Scottish Refugee Council, and Senior Community Development Officer at Freedom from Torture. Dylan is a grants committee member of the Justice Together Initiative. He holds a degree in Community Development and a Master’s degree in Global Migration and Social Justice from the University of Glasgow and is a member of the Young Academy of Scotland – Royal Society of Edinburgh.

Pinar Aksu

Pinar is a human rights campaigner, Development Officer with Maryhill Integration Network and a theatre maker. Pinar has been campaigning to raise awareness of the issue’s asylum seekers and refugees face since a young age and is involved with anti-racism, end to detention and human rights movements. She holds a degree in Community Development and a Master’s degree in Human Rights and International Politics from the University of Glasgow. Her other roles and involvements include: Right to Remain, and member of the Young Academy of Scotland- Royal Society of Edinburgh.

Luna Issa

Luna is an English and Film Studies graduate currently studying a Master’s in Film and TV Studies at the University of Glasgow. She is working as a film programmer for Dardishi, an annual arts festival which promotes work by Arab and North African women and gender minorities. Previously she has volunteered with Scottish Refugee Council and Interfaith Scotland. She is also a qualified ESOL tutor.
